Opportunities with YesBC (Youth for Environmental Stewardship)

Ø Environmental leadership training (approx8 hours over one or more sessions) with flexible content depending on school and student needs, including resources and materials (no charge to participating students)

Ø Follow up support for Reynolds students e.g. resource materials, project planning and execution throughout 2010/2011 school year

Ø Access to network of environmental organizations local, regional, national and global

Ø Participation in tree planting or other land stewardship projects

Ø Training in how to plan and execute an awareness campaign

Ø Access to collaborators (including media partners) that will support opportunities for students to have their voices heard

Ø Connection to other schools in other districts for planning district/regional events

Ø Al Gore’s Climate Project Canada climate presentation

Ø Mentoring, training and leadership opportunities with peers, younger students and community
